Independent Research

We read the labels so you don't have to guess.

Independent supplement analysis — clinical dose checks, third-party COA review, and side-by-side rankings. Most products miss the dose the research actually used. We surface the few that don't.

Section 01

What we look for

Six checks that decide whether a supplement actually matches the dose and form used in the peer-reviewed research — or just trades on the category's reputation.

Criterion 01

Clinical dose verification

We hold each product's Supplement Facts panel against the dose ranges used in the clinical trials that built the category — not the label's marketing.

Criterion 02

Form and bioavailability

Whether the form on the label (chelated glycinate, root-only extract, full-spectrum, hydrolyzed peptides) is the same form the research was run on.

Criterion 03

Third-party COA review

We cross-check purity and potency claims against publicly available Certificates of Analysis. Products with no verifiable batch testing get flagged.

Criterion 04

Label transparency

Proprietary blends hide the milligrams per ingredient, so we treat them as the lowest tier — you can't check them against a clinical dose.

Criterion 05

Manufacturing standards

GMP-certified production with third-party batch testing is the minimum bar for anything we'd rank as a daily supplement.

Criterion 06

Outcome tracking

Verified-purchase reviews across retailers, brand sites, and forums — sorted by efficacy, side effects, and value. The patterns feed every limitations note.

Section 02

How we evaluate

Every category runs through the same three steps. We start from the clinical research, build the framework, then measure each label against it.

Step 01

Framework first

For each category we read the peer-reviewed research and pin down the dose, form, and supporting compounds that produced measurable results. Those become the scoring criteria.

Step 02

Label and COA audit

We score every product label against that framework and cross-check brand claims against third-party Certificates of Analysis where they exist. Proprietary blends and undisclosed doses are flagged.

Step 03

Outcome cross-check

We read verified-purchase reviews across retailers, brand sites, and forums, sorted by efficacy, side effects, and value. The patterns inform the limitations section of each ranking.

Claire leads supplement research at Health Verdict. Her work centers on label analysis, the clinical-dosing literature, and third-party COAs across the metabolic, cognitive, longevity, and daily-nutrition categories. Every ranking on this site is built around the framework she maintains: read the research, identify the dose and form that produced measurable results, then test every product label against that bar.
